Srilanka, May 9 -- A Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Bell 212 helicopter crashed in the Maduru Oya area earlier today while on a routine training mission.
The helicopter had taken off from the Hingurakgoda Air Force Base when it encountered technical difficulties, leading to the crash. According to SLAF Spokesperson, both pilots on board managed to eject in time and escaped without injuries.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
