Sri Lanka, Aug. 9 -- The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) deployed a Bell 412 helicopter today to conduct Bambi Bucket operations, executing aerial water drops to help suppress a forest fire in the Raththanagolla-Imbulpe area of Balangoda.

This aerial firefighting mission was carried out in close coordination with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and local emergency services, aiming to prevent the fire from spreading further and protect the region's vulnerable forest cover.
