Sri Lanka, Sept. 2 -- Sri Lanka's Under-12 boys' tennis team produced a spirited display at the ATF 12 & Under Team Championship 2025 in Singapore.
The team reached the quarterfinals for the first time since 2019 and finishing overall in seventh place.
The young team of Revaan Amarasinghe (S. Thomas' College), Nuren Wevita (St. Joseph's College) and Yonal Dankumbura (Ananda College, Colombo) was guided by coach Kevin Makandarajah.
Sri Lanka had to beat hosts Singapore to secure a place in the last eight. It was a thrilling tie where Yonal Dankumbura lost 6-3, 6-0, but Revaan Amarasinghe struck back with a 6-4, 6-2 win. In the decisive doubles, Revaan and Nuren teamed up to win 6-4, 6-3, sealing Sri Lanka's passage to the quarterfinals....
