Sri Lanka, Sept. 10 -- Leader of the House Minister Bimal Rathnayake informed the Parliament yesterday (9) that Sri Lanka has received US$ one billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) within the first year of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's tenure.
Addressing the House during the debate on the resolution on the Investment Promotion and Reciprocal Protection Agreement between Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates (Second Reading), the Minister said that bilateral agreements have been signed with other countries while taking into account several sectors including economy, education, and culture.
