Sri Lanka, March 24 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement said that Sri Lanka is deeply concerned over the situation in Gaza and calls on all sides to avoid any action that would lead to further escalation of the situation.

We are hopeful that sustainable peace will be established in the region soon.
