Srilanka, March 6 -- The Vietnam Embassy in Colombo has planned a series of commemorative activities throughout the year to mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Vietnam. The activities will encompass all pillars of bilateral relations, including political, economic and cultural diplomacy, as well as people-to-people exchanges, aimed at raising awareness about the traditional friendship, to deepen mutual understanding and the existing fine collaboration between Vietnam and Sri Lanka.

Vietnam's Ambassador to Sri Lanka Trinh Thi Tam stated the above at a press briefing at the embassy recently.
