Srilanka, May 9 -- The Sri Lanka Army hosted an initial planning conference with a visiting Russian military delegation recently at the Army Headquarters, under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala.
During the session, both parties engaged in discussions aimed at sharing tactical expertise, operational experiences and best practices to enhance counter terrorist capabilities. Both parties also shared commitment to promote greater interoperability, strengthening capacity and deepening mutual understanding between the two nations.
The event concluded with the formal exchange of commemorative plaques. Military Air and Naval attache of Russian Embassy Colonel Sergei N Beliankin was also present.
