Sri Lanka, April 2 -- The case filed against against Samagi Jana Balawegayam MP Rajitha Senaratne and two others for allegedly causing a loss to the government, when leasing out the Modara Fisheries harbour to a private company, while he was the Fisheries Minister in 2014, was fixed for further trial on July 09, 2024, by Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe.

Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) Director General filed indictments on five charges against former Minister Rajitha Senaratne, former Chairman of Ceylon Fisheries Harbour Corporation (CFHC), Upali Liyanage and former Managing Director of CFHC Neil Ravindra Munasinghe, under section 70 of the Bribery Act.
