Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP S. M. Marikkar said discussions with the United National Party (UNP) have been temporarily halted. He mentioned that the past two years have been marked by extreme corruption in the country.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the SJB headquarters yesterday (11), MP Marikkar further stressed, "To the best of my knowledge, the discussions with the UNP have been temporarily suspended. The purpose of these discussions was not merely to join forces with the UNP, but to unite the progressive political camps of the country.
