Sri Lanka, June 21 -- The Department of Meteorology forecasts several spells of showers today in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the districts of Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara.

Isolated showers or thundershowers are also expected during the afternoon or night in parts of the Uva Province and in the Ampara and Batticaloa districts.

Additionally, fairly strong winds ranging between 30-40 kmph may occur at times over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Northern, North-Central, Southern, and North-Western provinces, including the Trincomalee district.
