Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- The Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs has announced that the Battaramulla Head Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration will now operate 24 hours a day on government working days. This move aims to address prolonged delays in passport issuance.
The Ministry reported a noticeable reduction in long queues following the implementation of the extended service hours on the 18th. To support this initiative, measures have been taken to enhance security, transportation, and other essential infrastructure for both applicants and staff.
