Srilanka, April 23 -- Senior Superintendent of Police Shani Abeysekara has been appointed to the committee tasked with reviewing the Presidential Commission of Inquiry report on the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

The appointment was made by Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya.

With this addition, the previously four-member committee-chaired by Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Asanga Karawita-has now been expanded to five members to facilitate a more comprehensive study of the report.
