Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera of the Malwatte Chapter stated that the role of the Opposition should not be opposing everything the Government does but act in a progressive manner while supporting efforts beneficial to the country.

The Mahanayaka Thera said that it would be more productive if everyone could set aside party differences and work together for the common good of the country, at least for a specific period.
