Sri Lanka, July 14 -- SLFP National Organizer and Anuradhapura District contestant of SLPP Duminda Dissanayake yesterday appealed to the voters to select the most suitable persons to represent their districts in Parliament without any bias adhering to the lessons learnt in the history of elections in the country.

Addressing an election meeting in Kalawewa, Dissanayake said this will help dispel the negative sentiments about MPs and politicians among the people. "I have heard people curse that all Parliamentarians shall die and the House shall be kept closed. We must wipe out these negative sentiments from the political psyche of the nation by sending good individuals to the House," he added.
