Sri Lanka, Dec. 15 -- The Ministry of Education announced that 147 schools affected by the recent disaster situation across the island will not reopen tomorrow (16).
While all schools in the Western, Southern, Northern, Sabaragamuwa, Eastern, and North-Central provinces are scheduled to reopen as planned, several institutions in other regions remain unsuitable for reopening.
According to the Ministry, the schools that will stay closed include 26 in the Uva Province, 6 in the North-Western Province, and 115 in the Central Province.
The Ministry further stated that although schools will reopen tomorrow (16), all schools islandwide will be closed again on the 22nd.
