Sri Lanka, Dec. 23 -- The Ministry of Education has announced the revised schedule for the conclusion of the 2025 academic year and the start of the 2026 academic year for government and government-approved schools, including Pirivenas.

The ministry has decided to end the 2025 academic year for Sinhala and Tamil schools on Monday, 22 December 2025, and for Muslim schools on Friday, 26 December 2025.

Accordingly, school holidays will be observed from 23 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 for Sinhala and Tamil schools, and from 27 December 2025 to 4 January 2026 for Muslim schools.
