Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has set January 20, 2026, as the date to hear appeals filed by former Ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Nalin Fernando against the sentences handed down by the Colombo High Court in a corruption case.
The appeals were called today (28) before a three-judge Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Prethi Padman Surasena.
Both former ministers, currently in custody, were produced in court by prison officials for the hearing.
