Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- The Supreme Court has dismissed three writ petitions filed by former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella's family members seeking to nullify the Colombo High Court's order freezing their assets.
The asset freeze was imposed in connection with an investigation conducted by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, chaired by Justice Janak de Silva, reviewed the facts presented in the petitions and decided to dismiss them, allowing the asset freeze to remain in effect.
