Srilanka, March 17 -- Muthumuni de Silva, representing Sri Lanka, won a prize at the international art competition in the 4-6 age category held in line with the celebration of the 2025 United Nations World Wildlife Day on March 3.

The competition saw participation from 140 countries with a total of 3,400 artworks submitted, as announced during the event.

Saven Diniru, a Grade 2 student at Dhammissara National School in Naththandiya, is currently in Japan with his parents for a short period. He also emerged victorious at the 23rd Kanagawa Art Competition in Japan, winning the Grand Prize under the 'All Schools of Japan Art Category', where 2,318 artworks were submitted.
