Srilanka, April 1 -- A devastating accident on March 18 at midnight on the Mirigama-Kandy Central Expressway has led to yet another heartbreaking loss. Satisha Nilanthi, the wife of Senior Lecturer Gunendra Gayantha, who died in the crash, succumbed to her injuries on March 26, leaving behind her two-year-old triplets.

The accident occurred while the family was returning from a pilgrimage to Nagadeepa. The van they were traveling in lost control and collided with a cement-laden lorry near the Mirigama Expressway exit. Gunendra Gayantha, the Head of the Psychology Unit at the University of Kelaniya, died on the spot, while his brother-in-law, Ravindu Theekshana (35), succumbed to his injuries four days later.
