Sri Lanka, March 19 -- On an initiative by former provincial councilor Nauzer Fowzie, Dubai-based Saeeda Foundation laid the foundation for a four-storied building housing 16 classrooms, at a cost of Rs 100 million, at Khairiya Girls' College, Dematagoda. Colombo on Sunday (17). The donation of Rs. 100 million was presented by Mr. Fowzie to the school principal Nazeera Hassanar.

The foundation ceremony was held at the Khairiya Girls' College Primary Section, Kuppiyawatte, under the patronage of its Principal Mrs. Nazeera Hassanar, with MP A.H.M. Fowzie as Chief Guest, who unveiled a plaque to mark the foundation for a new school building, which would benefit some 700 Primary students.
