Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- Health and Mass Media Minister and Cabinet Spokesman, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, stated yesterday that an exposition of Sacred Relics associated with Buddha brought from Gujarat, India, will be held at the Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple for one week, from February 4, to coincide with National Independence Day. The Minister announced this during a visit to the Mahanayake Theras of the Malwatte and Asgiriya Chapters to formally inform them of the event on Saturday (17).
