Srilanka, Feb. 4 -- The sacred Devnimori relics of Lord Buddha have arrived in Sri Lanka, offering a historic opportunity for the country's Buddhist community to pay their respects.
The Indian aircraft carrying the revered relics landed at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) at around 1.00 p.m. today.The exposition of the relics will begin today at Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo, under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. This event is made possible with the support of the Government of India and the facilitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
