Sri Lanka, Nov. 7 -- Honourable Justice of the Supreme Court S. Thurairajah took the oath of office as Acting Chief Justice of Sri Lanka before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (07).

The appointment was made to serve during the absence of Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena, who is currently abroad.

Secretary to the President Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake was also present at the occasion, the Presidential Media Division said.
