Sri Lanka, July 5 -- Russia has extended invitation to Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs (RCA) Minister Prof. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi to the XI Saint Petersburg International United Cultures Forum (SPIUCF).

The Forum to be held in September will bring together leading Russian and foreign cultural and artistic figures, representatives of the business community, and authorities to exchange ideas discuss trends and current issues in the development of the modern cultural environment.

About 2,000 participants are expected to take part in the Forum. Russian ambassador in Colombo Levan Dzhagaryan yesterday handed over the invitation extended by Russian Cultural Minister Olga Lyubimova to Minister Professor Sunil Senevi.
