Sri Lanka, Dec. 18 -- A Supplementary Estimate of Rs.500 billion will be presented to Parliament today (18) towards restoring the livelihoods of the people who were affected from the disaster situation in the country.

The Parliament is scheduled to be convened today and tomorrow at the request of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and in accordance with the provisions of Standing Orders 16 of Parliament.

The decision has been made at the meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business held yesterday (17) under the chairmanship of Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

Accordingly, Parliament will convene at 9.30 a.m. today (18) and a Supplementary amount of Rs. 500 billion for 2026 which is aimed at restoring the livelihoods of those affe...
