Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- A stock of obsolete medical equipment worth nearly Rs. 10 million was found in a warehouse on Gothami Road in Borella yesterday (12) in a raid carried out by the Drug Regulatory Authority and the Police.

The raid was carried out on a tip off received from the Western Provincial Intelligence Division that a stock of expired medical equipment had been imported into the country.

The detection was made while the equipment was labeled for reuse.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a stock of unregistered medical equipment and chemicals were found at the location.
