Srilanka, Nov. 5 -- Plantations and Community Infrastructure Minister Samantha Vidyarathna stated that Cabinet approval has been received to allocate Rs. 500 million to repair and develop dilapidated roads in the plantation areas where the Malayagam community is located. Accordingly, Rs. 500 million will be spent through the ministry to develop a large number of plantation roads.
The Minister revealed this at a media briefing held at the Plantations and Community Infrastructure Ministry yesterday (04).
Accordingly, steps are being taken to concrete some roads and carpet others, the Minister said, adding that the current Government is taking steps to resolve the problems faced by those people one by one, in this way.
