Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- Economic Development Deputy Minister Nishantha Jayaweera stated that the Government has set a tax revenue target of Rs.4,853 billion for this year (2026) for the three main revenue-collecting institutions.
The Deputy Minister noted that this represents the highest revenue target ever assigned to these institutions by a Sri Lankan Government in history.Geographic Reference
According to the targets, the Inland Revenue Department must collect Rs. 2,401 billion this year. Sri Lanka Customs has been assigned a target of Rs.2,207 billion, while the Excise Department is expected to reach a target of Rs. 245 billion.
