Sri Lanka, Jan. 19 -- The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has issued guidelines to help the public easily verify the authenticity of the Rs. 2,000 commemorative currency note, released on 28 August 2025 to mark the Bank's 75th anniversary.Geographic Reference

The Bank advises the public to carefully examine the note's security features. When held up to the light, the Lion with Sword watermark becomes visible, and the complete Lion with Sword image can be seen through the see-through security feature. Small hidden text embedded in the design adds an additional layer of security.
