Sri Lanka, Sept. 13 -- A brilliant reverse-stick strike by skipper Yusuf Shihar and two late goals from centre forward Kithmina Ratnayake powered Royal College, Colombo to a 3-0 victory over Kingswood College, Kandy in their annual hockey encounter for the Lennie de Silva Trophy at the University of Peradeniya grounds in Kandy.
It was a landmark win for Royal, who claimed the trophy for the first time since 2019.
Royal skipper Shihar, who also represented Sri Lanka at the Junior Asia Cup in China this year, broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a stunning reverse-stick shot.
