Sri Lanka, Jan. 8 -- Following the successful extraction of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores from Caracas in the dead of night by the United States (US) Delta Force on Saturday, President Donald Trump is now touting the "Donroe Doctrine" (a play on words from the Monroe Doctrine infusing a part of Trump's first name) as the way forward for the Americas and the region. A clear departure from the somewhat isolationist "America First" policy Trump has often enunciated, the "Donroe Doctrine" would see the US dominate the Western Hemisphere.
