Sri Lanka, March 8 -- Exporters would be faced with cash flow constraints due to delay in obtaining VAT refunds if the proposal to remove SVAT from April 2025 is implemented without a proper mechanism for VAT refunds, NCE Chairman Jayantha Karunaratne told 29th National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE).

He said NCE also has been lobbying for ease of doing business and regular dialogue with regular authorities including Customs, World Bank officers and various other government and non-government organizations to bring in transparent and ethical business practices to minimize corruption in the system.
