Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- Police Media Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police F.U. Wootler announced that Red Notices have been obtained against 95 organized criminals currently hiding abroad.

Speaking at a media briefing held today (16), SSP Wootler said that Sri Lanka successfully secured the return of 10 suspects through Interpol Red Notices in 2024, followed by another 11 suspects in 2025.Geographic Reference

In addition, 21 suspects were extradited during the 2024-2025 period under the Extradition Act.

He further noted that several criminals operating organized and online crimes from overseas have been identified.

As a result of the Red Notices issued so far, three suspects were brought back to Sri Lanka today.
