Sri Lanka, Jan. 14 -- Leading Aircraftman U.R.R. Jayasena and Aircraftwoman M.D.M. Premarthna stamped their names in history by setting new Sri Lankan records at the 13th Defence Services Weightlifting Championship, which concluded successfully at the Torrington Sports Complex in Colombo.

Jayasena lifted an impressive 135kg in the snatch in the Under-89kg weight category, while Premarthna set a new benchmark with a 66kg snatch in the Under-45kg weight category, marking remarkable achievements for the Air Force athletes.
