Sri Lanka, Sept. 17 -- RDB Bank introduced 'QR' payments in December 2022, this new facility allow RDB to accept payments via QR codes, customers can scan using their own bank's payment app and pay.
This transaction goes directly into the merchant's RDB bank account and notify both merchant and customer that payment was successful. As someone who has known from the beginning, RDB enabled accepting UPL payments regulated by NPCI (National Payment Corporate of India) union pay payments. Which facilitate Indian and Chinese tourists to make cashless payments using their own apps by scanning Lanka QR at RDB merchants across the country.
