Sri Lanka, Jan. 2 -- Mr. M.S.L.R.P. Marasinghe has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Wildlife Conservation, with effect from 01 January.
The appointment was made by Minister of Environment Dr. Dhammika Patabendi.
He is a graduate of the University of Peradeniya with a degree in Agriculture and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from the same university. In addition, Mr. Marasinghe has earned a Master of Science degree in Forestry and Environmental Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Colombo, and a Bachelor of Laws from the Open University of Sri Lanka.
