Srilanka, June 11 -- Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) earlier today to provide a statement in connection with a complaint filed by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.

The complaint pertains to the importation of medicines during the tenure of the previous government. Several former ministers have already provided statements to the CID as part of the ongoing investigation.

Wickremesinghe's appearance follows a formal summons by the CID to clarify his role or knowledge concerning the matter.
