Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe who was arrested and remanded on Friday (22) over the allegation of misusing of State funds was granted bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura when the case was taken up before the Court yesterday evening.

The Fort Magistrate ordered him to be bailed out with three sureties of Rs.5 million each after considering the submissions made by the Criminal Investigation Department and the lawyers appearing for the suspect.
