Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- Former Minister representing the Galle District, Ramesh Pathirana, has been appointed as the Benthara - Elpitiya Electoral Organiser of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

He received his letter of appointment from the National Organiser of the SLPP, Namal Rajapaksa at the Nelum Mawatha party headquarters yesterday.

In addition to this appointment, Ramesh Pathirana has also been named the Convener of the Health Professionals' Association of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
