Srilanka, Feb. 1 -- Persistent rain on day three halted Australia's plan to bowl out Sri Lanka in the first Test at the Galle International Stadium. Play was possible for only one hour and 45 minutes during the first session yesterday and Sri Lanka were 136 for 5 wickets before rain forced the players to leave the field 15 minutes before the lunch break at 11.45 am and the umpires called off play of day three at 3.30 pm. Tomorrow the game is scheduled to begin at 9.45 am.
