Sri Lanka, Dec. 10 -- Qatar Charity with the Qatar Fund for Development's generous funding and in collaboration with the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Sri Lanka, has launched an emergency relief initiative to assist communities affected by Cyclone Ditwa and severeflooding across the island.
The project, valued at 55 million rupees, includes the distribution of food baskets containing essential dry goods and canned items targeting 1,800 displaced families, as well as the provision of search and rescue equipment to strengthen local disaster response capabilities in partnership with the Disaster Management Center.
