Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- The Sri Lanka Railways Department has announced the resumption of the Pulathisi Intercity Train and the Ella Odyssey Tourist Train.Sri Lanka Employment

The Pulathisi Intercity Train will operate between Colombo Fort and Batticaloa, departing Colombo Fort every Friday and returning from Batticaloa every Sunday, starting January 9, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Ella Odyssey Tourist Train will run from Ambewela to Badulla every Wednesday from January 7, 2026. The department noted that additional trips for the Ella Odyssey will be scheduled in the future based on passenger demand.

Passengers are advised to check the official Sri Lanka Railways schedule for updates and reservations.
