Sri Lanka, May 19 -- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that a proposal for an 18.3% increase in electricity tariffs for the period from June to December 2025 will be subjected to a public consultation process before a final decision is made.Sri Lankan tourism

The Commission stated that the outcome of these consultations will be announced during the first week of June, in accordance with Clause 5.2 of its Tariff Methodology, which requires end-user tariffs to be determined based on the revenue requirements of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
