Srilanka, March 26 -- The salary increase for the public service under the 2025 Budget proposals will be implemented from April 1.

According to the 2025 Budget proposals, the Government has decided to implement the public service salary revision from 2025.01.01 and pay the salaries without any arrears from April 1.

Integrated Services Director General Chandana Kumarasinghe said that the relevant circular was issued yesterday (25).

Accordingly, the monthly interim allowance of Rs.2,500 paid as per Public Administration Circular /09/2019 dated 22.04.2019 and the monthly allowance of Rs.5,000 paid as per Public Administration Circular 03/2022 dated 13.01.2022 have been included in the new salary scales.
