Srilanka, April 9 -- Acting Inspector General of Police, Priyantha Weerasuriya, has issued a new directive to all senior officers and Officers-in-Charge (OICs) to establish Public Safety Committees as part of a renewed effort to strengthen ties between the Sri Lanka Police and the public.
The IGP emphasized that public cooperation is essential to realize the vision of the Sri Lanka Police, particularly in their mission to promote social harmony through effective crime control and management.
