Srilanka, March 12 -- Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Marine Resources, Ramalingam Chandrasekhar, has announced that the public can submit their ideas, suggestions, and allegations regarding the proposed new Fisheries Act until March 25.

The Minister emphasized that the new Act, which aims to address legal and other shortcomings of the existing law, will be shaped by public input. Suggestions can be submitted to the Secretary of the Fisheries Ministry, and the bill is expected to be presented to the Cabinet soon after the consultation period.
