Sri Lanka, April 7 -- The candidate for the post of Director-General of UNESCO, Khaled El-Enany, made a visit to Sri Lanka on Sunday (4) as part of his global campaign for the upcoming election. "This visit forms part of my long-standing effort, launched over 2 years ago, to engage with UNESCO Member States, not only through formal diplomatic channels, but also by listening directly to the voices and priorities of people on the ground." His visit included meetings with Sri Lankan Government leaders, Parliamentarians, Educators, Journalists and Cultural representatives.
