Srilanka, March 28 -- Renowned writer, screenwriter, and teledrama scriptwriter Vajira Kasthuri (57) tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in the Moragahapallam area of Pannipitiya.

On March 26, at around 10:35 am, Kasthuri was riding his motorcycle from Pannipitiya towards Hokandara when he collided with an electric and telephone pole. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Homagama Base Hospital.

A father of two, Kasthuri was a prominent figure in Sri Lankan literature and cinema. He authored about 10 novels, including the popular works "Sangala Varahan," "Ahupevatha," "Polkichi Premaya," and "Panduru Bandina Gas." Additionally, he contributed to the film industry by writing screenplays for films such as "Adaraneeya Kat...
