Sri Lanka, Jan. 7 -- Prime Minister and Education Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said in Parliament yesterday that the problematic Grade 06 English module was not distributed to students and that its distribution was immediately suspended once the error was discovered.

We started an investigation as soon as the mistake was rectified.

The law will be implemented against the wrongdoers as soon as the results of the investigation are revealed.

Grade six children will receive the English textbook on January 21. Year one children will receive the English textbook on January 29. Therefore, we request people especially parents and children not to have unnecessary fear in this regard.
